Conference Overview

The theme of this year’s conference is “Teaching and Learning in the Age of AI: Strategies for Faculty.” Faculty and staff have submitted proposals to engage attendees in workshops, presentations with discussions, and panel discussions along the following subthemes:

  • AI’s impact on workforce development: addressing occupational shifts, upskilling, agility, adaptability, ethics, and bias in relation to current and future offerings.
  • Teaching and learning with AI: exploring pedagogies, learning pathways, accessibility, assignment and course design, and ethics and bias.
  • AI’s impact on program development: envisioning stand-alone, stacked, integrated, and interdisciplinary possibilities within an overall strategy.

In preparation for our day together, we recommend a couple of optional books as primers:

Bowen, J, & Watson, C.E. (2024) Teaching with AI: A practical guide to a new era of human learning. Johns Hopkins University Press.  One of the authors keynoted this year’s CAEBL conference this past April.

Mollick, E. (2024).Co-intelligence: Living and working with AI. Penguin Random House.

NEW: AI Guidance for the College of Professionals Studies
